The 12th Annual Arc Otsego Hot Cocoa 5K Run & 1K Walk, Run & Roll 2026

Since its inception twelve years ago, the Hot Cocoa Run has become an integral part of the community calendar, drawing runners and walkers to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Scheduled for October 18th, 2026, at Neahwa Park in Oneonta, this year's event promises a warm atmosphere and scenic routes.
The Arc Otsego’s Hot Cocoa Run includes both a 5K run and a 1K walk/run/roll option that cater to all ages and abilities. Participants are invited to lace up their running shoes or roll out for an inclusive day of fun, with proceeds going directly towards the Helping Hands Fund. This fund provides essential support to individuals facing challenges due to intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Registration is open until October 9th at 4 PM through the event's online portal. Those who register by September 13th will secure a race t-shirt in their preferred size, with youth participants receiving short-sleeve shirts and adults long sleeves. For those registering after this date, limited additional sizes may be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The picturesque Neahwa Park serves as the event's venue for both races. The 5K route consists of two laps around the park’s perimeter, offering runners stunning views and an enjoyable course layout that enhances safety while encouraging spectator engagement along the way. Walkers will start after the initial wave of runners to ensure a smooth pace throughout.
Spectators are welcome to cheer on participants from various points within Neahwa Park. Early packet pickup is available at The Arc Otsego’s headquarters, located at 35 Academy Street in Oneonta, during specified hours leading up to race day. On the morning of October 18th, same-day registration and packet pick-up will be held at the Oneonta Outlaws Clubhouse from 7:45 AM until 9:45 AM.
