The 2027 Viper 10k trail run

On April 22, 2027, runners are invited to participate in the fifth edition of this exciting race, marking its first year as a 10K event. Entry is limited on a first-come, first-served basis and is strictly for participants over the age of 18.
For non-TRA or EA members, there's an additional £2 levy upon registration. Parking options are available near the pub with limited space; alternatively, a free public car park in Mill Green offers ample room just a ten-minute downhill walk away. Bikers can also make use of bike racks at the pub to store their bikes during the race.
The 2027 course is entirely new and will be provided as both a narrative description and through GPX files and Strava links before the event date, ensuring runners have all necessary details well in advance. Given that this is a self-sufficient race, participants are advised to bring water and other essentials like snacks, a phone, and appropriate clothing for unexpected weather conditions.
Registration opens at 18:00 where you can collect your race numbers and running T-shirts. The mass start promptly follows at 18:30 with the option of tail runner support if needed during navigation. Upon crossing the finish line, runners will be greeted with a complimentary drink—your choice from beer to wine or non-alcoholic options—and encouraged to hand in their race number before enjoying refreshments.
The nearby Viper pub offers an extensive menu for those who wish to dine post-race; it's recommended to inform them of your dining plans beforehand. For larger groups, booking at The Cricketers restaurant a short distance away is advisable due to potential capacity constraints at the Viper during peak times.
