About the Event

Nestled between Lookout Mountain and Pigeon Mountain, McLemore Cove offers runners an unforgettable experience amidst the unique geology of the Cumberland Plateau. The race starts at picturesque Mountain Cove Farms, where participants will embark on a challenging journey through rolling hills and dense forests.
The 10K route takes you through Whiskey Hollow with scenic views and moderate elevation gains totaling 650 feet. For those seeking more adventure, the 30K course adds an additional layer of excitement as it passes by Rocktown and Ellison’s Cave, known for its stunning rock formations and historical significance.
The grand finale is the 50K race, which pushes runners through five thousand feet of elevation gain over ten hours. This grueling yet rewarding route includes a descent into Estelle Mines Trail with an optional exploration of old railroad tunnels and breathtaking views at Pocket Falls and High Point Overlook.
All races start from Mountain Cove Farms on March 13, 2027: the 50K begins at 7am, followed by the 30K at 8am, and concludes with the 10K starting at 9am. Be sure to register by February 28th for guaranteed race shirts.
Participants must purchase a day-use pass through Georgia’s Outdoor Licensing system for $5 to access Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA on race day. Joining GUTS members can enjoy an additional discount of $5 using the provided code at registration.
