Dirty Pizza Weekend 2026 promises an unforgettable experience for cyclists and food enthusiasts alike. Spanning two days, the event combines stunning landscapes with challenging routes that cater to all skill levels. On Saturday, participants can look forward to a shake-out ride followed by a refreshing swim in the lake. Afterward, enjoy a wood-fired feast at the pavilion under the open skies before settling down for an overnight stay on-site. Sunday kicks off early with complimentary fresh-baked goods and coffee awaiting riders. Four distinct routes are available, each offering its unique challenges: - For seasoned gravel enthusiasts, "The Good" route stretches approximately 40 miles with a climb of around 4500 feet. - "The Bad," a more demanding option at 55 miles with 6000 feet in elevation gain, will test even the most experienced riders. - The grueling "The Ugly" loop covers an impressive 70 miles and features an imposing 8000-foot climb. This route is limited to just thirty participants and includes a time cut-off at the first feed zone. For those seeking less strenuous options, "Type 1 Fun," a mostly paved ride with maintained gravel sections, offers a more manageable 24 miles of riding, perfect for confident cyclists on wider tires. A staffed feed stop will be available to all riders, stocked with essential supplies including water, fruit, and the renowned Orchard Hill Breadworks cookies. Post-ride festivities include wood-fired pizzas and desserts at the Pavilion, making it an ideal event for families as well. All routes are self-navigated using GPS tracks and cue sheets sent out a few days before the event. Riders are encouraged to bring their own navigation devices; cue sheets will also be available on-site. Participants should prepare with 42mm or larger tires for tackling "The Good," "The Bad," and "The Ugly." A narrower tire setup is suitable for "Type 1 Fun" but still recommends a comfortable 42mm gravel setup. The ride is self-supported, so bring your own gear to handle flat repairs. Sag support will be available on call in certain sections of the course where cell reception may be limited, potentially requiring some walking to reach assistance. The event venue boasts delicious wood-fired pizzas with various toppings and gluten-free options are also provided. Bring your own beverages as BYOB is encouraged.
