Dive into the scenic beauty and rich heritage of Speyside with The Dramathon. This unique marathon experience offers four distinct race options—The Full Dram (41km), The Half Dram (20.5km), The Wee Dram (10.3km), and a relay event—all set against the backdrop of Scotland's renowned whisky country.
Each route meanders along well-maintained paths following parts of the historic Speyside Way, passing through picturesque landscapes dotted with distilleries that add an aromatic touch to your run. The terrain is mostly trail but includes some minor roads and several hills, making it a challenging yet rewarding experience for runners at all levels.
The Full Dram starts in Glenfarclas and winds its way past Tamdhu before finishing at the iconic Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, offering stunning autumnal views. The Half Dram begins near Tamdhu, while The Wee Dram kicks off from Aberlour. Each race concludes with a celebratory finish line ceremony where participants collect exclusive whisky miniature bottles corresponding to their chosen distance.
Entry fees include comprehensive support services such as fully marked courses, coach transport to the start lines, baggage transfer back to the finish area, and professional timing. The package also features well-stocked feed stations, extensive safety measures including medical teams, public liability insurance coverage, race photos, and a collection of whisky samples from local distilleries.
