- Adults over 16 who opt to use a wetsuit do not need a float but are encouraged to use one for additional safety. Those choosing to swim without a wetsuit (skins) must always use a swim float.
To enhance visibility, all participants should wear bright-colored swim caps; dark colors are discouraged as they may hinder spotting from the shore or water's edge.
