The Kilkerran MOK Tri Series 2026 - Race 3

The Kilkerran MOK Tri Series 2026, set to take place along the stunning coastlines of Scotland, is an exhilarating addition to the annual sporting calendar. This triathlon and aquathon series offers participants a unique blend of sea swimming, cycling, and running, challenging athletes across various age groups in beautiful coastal settings.
For junior competitors aged 11 and above, two distinct categories cater to different skill levels: a shorter distance with a 300-meter swim followed by a 2-kilometer run for the younger set, while more experienced juniors can tackle a longer course featuring a 500-meter sea swim paired with a 3-kilometer trek. Both races are designed to foster growth and confidence in young athletes as they compete against their peers.
Adult competitors face an even greater challenge: a full triathlon that includes a 1,500-meter open water swim across the chilly Scottish seas, followed by a grueling 41-kilometer cycle ride along scenic coastal roads. The race culminates with a final push of 10 kilometers on foot back to the finish line at Ugadale Hotel.
Teams are also welcome in this event, competing as relay groups where each member takes charge of one discipline: swimming, cycling, and running. Each participant must complete their own entry form; there’s no room for shortcuts here. Cyclists should take note that helmets are strictly prohibited to ensure the safety guidelines set by Triathlon Scotland are adhered to.
Special accommodations are made for athletes with disabilities; organizers encourage competitors who require assistance to inform them during registration so they can discuss any necessary adjustments to course or facilities in advance of race day.
Post-race, all participants will receive commemorative mementos celebrating their achievement. In addition, prizes are awarded to the top finishers within each category and some lucky athletes might even walk away with spot prizes for their efforts.
Competitors should arrive at Ugadale Hotel by 08:00 am on race day to register; all must be prepared and ready to compete no later than 9:30 a.m. The starting gun sounds promptly at 10:00 a.m., signaling the beginning of what promises to be an unforgettable experience.
