Nestled within the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, the Stone Circle full and half marathons offer runners an unforgettable day of scenic routes and challenging terrain. Participants will traverse fields, footpaths, canal towpaths, and country roads on their journey to visit Broughton Stone Circle. The course is looped, with each lap featuring three refreshment stations offering essential hydration and energy boosts. The event caters equally well for runners and long-distance walkers, providing ample opportunities for spectators to cheer along the way. Upon crossing the finish line, participants are greeted with a sustainable medal crafted by Erin herself—a testament to her dedication and passion for running. Post-race recovery is enhanced by Yorkshire tea, homemade cakes, and some of the finest chips in the region, courtesy of The Frying Yorkshireman. Proceeds from this non-profit event go towards helping 15-year-old Erin Carter attend the World Scout Jamboree in Gdansk in 2027. After a rigorous selection process, Erin has been chosen to represent scouts worldwide but must raise over £3,300 through fundraising efforts. Recognizing her family's deep roots in running and event organization, she decided that organizing races was the perfect way to meet this challenge. Erin took on every aspect of planning these events—from designing medals to mapping routes—testing each section alongside her parents who are seasoned runners and experienced organizers. She currently holds the half-marathon course record but invites competitors to test their limits and possibly break it. For those looking to extend their visit, the surrounding village offers a variety of amenities including campsites, hotels like Premier Inn, local pubs, and numerous attractions such as Malham or the Yorkshire Three Peaks. This makes for an ideal weekend getaway with friends or family. Stay updated on event news by following The Stone Circle races on Facebook at . Detailed route maps and training resources are available through Strava, Suunto Maps, Garmin Connect, and downloadable GPX files. Support Erin's fundraising efforts via her JustGiving page:
