Tissington Trail Marathon & Half Marathon

Experience the beauty of Derbyshire's countryside with the Tissington Trail Race, taking place on Sunday, April 25th at Ashbourne Leisure Centre. This picturesque route follows the former railway line that stretches from Ashbourne to Buxton over a distance of 13 miles.
The race offers both marathon and half-marathon distances, winding through undulating terrain with breathtaking views throughout its entirety. The course begins in Ashbourne and heads uphill towards Parsley Hay for the initial half of the trail before gently descending back to where it all began at the leisure centre. This unique layout means runners will enjoy a slight downhill advantage on their return journey.
Ideal for both seasoned marathoners and newcomers, this event promises an unforgettable experience with its stunning scenery and historic setting. The friendly atmosphere adds another layer of enjoyment as participants make their way through Derbyshire's picturesque landscapes.
Upon crossing the finish line, athletes can look forward to receiving bespoke medals commemorating their achievement. Additionally, free photographs capture the momentous occasion for all entrants. Leading runners will also be awarded trophies and prizes in recognition of their outstanding performance.
