Track Restoration Juniors' Fun Run 2026

Temple Newsam's annual Restoration Fund Run 10k is back, promising both runners and the local community an exciting day of fitness and fundraising. This year’s edition includes a special Juniors’ Fun Run for young participants aged 14 or under.
The event kicks off with the Juniors’ Fun Run at 9:30am, offering children two laps around Temple Newsam's pristine running track. The race is designed to be an engaging and fun experience, encouraging kids to enjoy physical activity in a supportive environment. Following this, the main attraction – the Track Restoration Fund Run 10k – begins promptly at 10:15am.
Temple Newsam’s running track has been recently resurfaced thanks to last year's successful fundraising efforts. The new surface not only enhances the runners' experience but also ensures that all community members, from young athletes learning to ride bicycles to older adults looking for a place to walk and stay active, can enjoy its benefits.
All proceeds from this year’s race will be dedicated solely to maintaining the track’s condition, ensuring it remains in optimal shape for future generations. Each participant will receive a medal upon completion of their respective event, celebrating not only personal achievement but also contributing to an important community cause.
