March 27 and 28 mark the celebration of Les 27/03 et 28/03, an enchanting trail running event nestled within Mirmande, one of France's most picturesque villages. This charming destination offers runners a unique opportunity to explore its stunning woodlands and newly developed single-track paths while immersing themselves in the rich local lore. On Saturday, March 27, participants can choose between two routes: an 8 km trek or a more substantial 14 km journey, both themed around "O'Mir," inspired by the legendary Irish monk who once called this region home. These courses weave through Mirmande's lush forests and offer glimpses into its historical past. The following day, Sunday, March 28, challenges extend with longer distances catering to more seasoned trail runners. At 09:30 AM, a 29 km route takes runners deeper into the countryside, while an early start at 09:00 AM sets off for a full-day adventure covering an impressive 40 km. The event is organized around the spirit of JUST TRAIL, emphasizing a friendly and intimate atmosphere away from large-scale industrial settings. Runners will find themselves surrounded by fellow enthusiasts in Mirmande's welcoming community, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and camaraderie that define this unique race experience. All participants meet at Camping Porte de Provence on Route de Marsanne for their respective start times, ready to embark on a journey through some of France’s most beautiful landscapes. Whether you're looking to enjoy a shorter jaunt or tackle longer distances, the Mirmande trail offers something memorable and scenic for all levels. The race is officially recognized as a departmental event, making it an ideal choice for runners seeking both challenge and community in one of France's hidden gems.
