About the Event

Ultra Trail de Pons invites runners from around the globe to experience an extraordinary adventure across unique landscapes above and below ground. Held annually over three days at Place de la République, Pons, this trail festival celebrates its heritage with routes that traverse historic sites and hidden corners of five participating towns.
Organized by passionate trail enthusiasts, Ultra Trail de Pons features a diverse array of challenges designed to cater to all levels of runners. Over the weekend, participants can choose from nine different distances ranging from 11 kilometers to an ultra-trail event covering 100 kilometers either solo or in pairs. The trails wind through secret urban routes at night and take adventurers underground as well as overland.
The course weaves its way past distilleries, historic châteaux, schools, private properties, and UNESCO World Heritage sites, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural significance. Each route is carefully crafted by trail runners themselves to ensure an unforgettable experience for all participants.
This year’s highlight includes the introduction of a 100-kilometer solo or duo race replacing the traditional 24-hour event. The festival also features shorter races like the Trail Urbain Nocturne with its ever-changing course, and trails specifically designed for young runners aged between five and fifteen.
With support from over three hundred dedicated volunteers throughout the year, Ultra Trail de Pons promises an immersive experience that combines athletic challenge with a celebration of local heritage. The organizers are eagerly looking forward to welcoming all participants in September for what is sure to be another memorable edition of this extraordinary trail event.
