About the Event

Starting 7:30 AM on October 31 at Zhumeng Village, Laishan District, Yantai, Shandong, this trail race caps at 800 runners across 41km, 30km, and 5km categories. Registration is first-come, first-served.
The 41km (2,064m+ gain, ITRA ~2 points) has a 10-hour cutoff; the 30km (1,205m+ gain, ITRA ~1 point) has an 8-hour cutoff; the 5km (56m+ gain) has a 1-hour cutoff.
Named for the mythical Vermillion Bird of the south, this course weaves together Laishan's bamboo forest, layered hills and lakes, jagged peaks, and hidden valleys into one demanding route.
