Sprint into summer with the Triathlon PEI Super Sprint Triathlon Series on July 26, 2026. This event, perfect for both beginners and seasoned athletes, offers an exhilarating mix of open water swimming, cycling, and running in Victoria-By-The-Sea. Starting early at 7:30 am with athlete check-in from 6 to 7 am, the race promises a seamless transition period followed by a mandatory safety briefing. Participants will gather on the pool deck for instructions before lining up for their swim across the picturesque Victoria-by-the-Sea Harbour. The 350-meter open water swim offers swimmers a clear view of the historic wharf and surrounding waterfront. Transition areas are conveniently located, allowing athletes to change into their cycling gear without delay. After a quick pit stop, riders will take on two laps around Causeway Road for a total bike course length of 7 kilometers. The flat terrain ensures that all participants can focus on pacing themselves throughout the ride. Upon finishing the bike leg, runners will return to Victoria-By-The-Sea and complete their journey down Russell Street before turning right onto Lyman Street and heading back. This 1.4-kilometer run offers a scenic route through charming streets lined with local businesses and homes. Triathlon PEI is proud to partner with South Shore Watershed Association and South Shore Food Share, committing $5 from each registration to support environmental conservation efforts in the area. Race day participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for collection by these organizations. The event schedule includes a mandatory safety briefing at 7 am followed by group pictures before the race begins promptly at 7:30 am. Athletes must be members of Triathlon PEI, Triathlon NS, Triathlon NB, or Triathlon NL to participate; annual memberships can be purchased online for those who wish to join. No electronic bikes are allowed on this course, and only road, gravel, and mountain bicycles will be permitted. Race day registration is not available; therefore, early planning is essential. No refunds, deferrals, or transfers will be given once the event has started. Volunteers are welcome! If you have a family member or friend who would like to lend a hand on race day, please contact triathlonpei@gmail.com for more information and an exclusive discount code for future events. This unique race not only tests your physical endurance but also offers breathtaking views of Victoria-By-The-Sea. Mark your calendars for July 26, 2026, as you join in the fun and support local causes with this vibrant community event!
