Join us on June 28, 2026, for the inaugural Triathlon PEI Super Sprint Triathlon Series. Perfectly timed to kick off summer, this fast-paced and friendly race is designed for both seasoned triathletes and newcomers alike. The event unfolds at Simmons Sports Centre in Charlottetown, offering a scenic outdoor pool swim followed by a flat bike ride along North River Road before concluding with a run back on the same route. Participants will experience an exhilarating day filled with beautiful surroundings and smooth transitions. Swimmers start their journey in the Simmons Sports Centre’s outdoor pool, divided into groups of 12 participants per lane to ensure everyone has ample space. With just 15 minutes allocated for each swimmer, this segment promises a brisk yet manageable pace through the water. The bike course takes you out along North River Road and back on Brighton Road before looping onto the Victoria Park bike path. The run follows closely behind, retracing your steps down North River Road until Hope Dr, providing a seamless transition from one discipline to another. Race day begins with athlete check-in starting at 6:30 am, followed by an essential safety briefing and group photos on the pool deck at 7:30 am. The race itself kicks off promptly at 8:00 am, offering participants an unforgettable experience in a supportive community setting. Important to note is that all competitors must be members of Triathlon PEI, Triathlon NS, Triathlon NB, or Triathlon NL. Annual memberships can be purchased online through the official website, while one-day memberships cost $20 ($10 for those under 16). E-bikes are not permitted; only road, gravel, and mountain bikes will be allowed on course. No refunds, deferrals, or transfers will be offered due to unforeseen circumstances. However, we welcome volunteers! If you have a family member or friend willing to lend a hand, please contact us at triathlonpei@gmail.com for volunteer opportunities that come with discounts for future Triathlon PEI events. For those not already members of the aforementioned organizations, rest assured that participation in this event does not require an additional Triathlon PEI Day Membership. We've got you covered! Experience the thrill of a Sprint Triathlon Series designed to challenge and inspire runners, swimmers, and cyclists alike. Mark your calendars for June 28, 2026, as we celebrate summer with our first race!
