Experience the exhilaration of Burke's third race, an Enduro format that challenges both Cat A and Cat B racers with three timed segments. Cat C riders will also compete across four distinct stages, each designed to showcase technical skills on challenging downhill terrain. Race organizers have meticulously planned a course that stays outside the Burke Bike Park except for the Lower J Bar Trail use, ensuring an authentic off-park experience. Participants are advised to wear protective gear such as full-face helmets and additional pads. Safety is paramount; all riders must adhere to their ability levels, maintaining control over their speed. The race will feature staggered starts with a 30-second interval between each segment to ensure fair competition. Staging areas have been set up at the course's entry points for smooth transitions. Course marshals will be present at the top of every stage to manage starting times and maintain order. For Burke members, registration is complimentary through the honor system using the coupon code BURKEENDUROMEMBER26. Non-members are encouraged to participate as well; independent riders can register easily online or on-site. Parents are invited to enhance the festival atmosphere by bringing along tents, chairs, and refreshments for their children during breaks in racing activities. The race schedule is unique from traditional cross-country events: - 8:30-9:45 AM Course open for pre-riding - 8:30-9:45 AM Chip pick-up and day-of registration - 9:30 AM Mandatory coaches meeting at the VTYC Tent (including parents of independent riders) - 10:00 AM Cat A race start - 10:12 PM Cat B race start - 10:02 AM Cat C race start - 10:10 AM Junior race start Awards will be presented to the top five racers in each category, so stay until the end for recognition. The course pre-ride is open on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning from 8:30-9:45 AM. Volunteers are needed to ensure a smooth event; sign up here if you can help out. Independent riders are welcome to join in for an exciting day of racing! Burke's third race promises a thrilling experience with challenging terrain, competitive spirit, and community support. Mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable Enduro adventure!
