Waverley Dash - 2026

Waverley Dash invites runners to explore the serene beauty of Waverley Lakes near Sheffield for an invigorating 10km trail race. This course, situated between Handsworth and Treeton, offers a picturesque setting with its winding paths around tranquil lakes and lush fields. The terrain is mostly flat but can become muddy in wet weather conditions, making it ideal to wear sturdy trail shoes.
Race day begins at 11:00 AM when participants will embark on this scenic route that winds through the natural beauty of Waverley Lakes. Fully marshalled along the way, the race provides a safe and well-supported environment for all runners regardless of their pace or experience level. The course weaves around lakeside trails and fields, offering breathtaking views at every turn.
Race HQ is conveniently situated near the lakes' edge at coordinates 53°22'40.2"N 1°21'45.4"W, also known as "items.dishes.flap" in what3words. Here, runners will find all necessary information and support before setting off on their journey.
In addition to the rewarding experience of running through such a beautiful landscape, Waverley Dash offers competitive incentives with prizes awarded for first, second, and third place finishers in both male and female categories across various age groups: v40, v50, v60, and v70. A selection of spot prizes will also be available to add an extra layer of excitement.
Participants are reminded that while race entries cannot be refunded, name transfers before the entry close date are permitted for those who need a change in plans.
