About the Event
The Westerley Cycling Club hosts a series of time trial events at the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit, offering cyclists an opportunity to test their speed on this car-free outdoor track. Each race covers 10.35 miles over 11 laps and is conducted in accordance with current guidelines from Cycling Time Trials for safety during the ongoing pandemic. Two distinct categories are available: a time trial bike event and a road bike event, both emphasizing non-drafting riding to ensure fairness and maintain rider safety. For those participating in the time trial bike category, any equipment can be utilized, including full aero helmets, deep section wheels such as disc wheels, and triathlon bikes. The entry fee for adults is £10.00, while Westerley CC members and juniors pay just £5.00. In contrast, riders in the road bike event must adhere to stricter equipment regulations; no time trial or aero clip-on bars are permitted, nor can pointy aero helmets or wheels deeper than 60mm be used. This category also charges an entry fee of £10 for adults and £5 for members and juniors. Participants should familiarize themselves with the specific rules to ensure compliance before joining this competitive event, which highlights both skill and endurance on one of Britain's premier cycling circuits.

About Hillingdon

Hillingdon is an area of Uxbridge within the London Borough of Hillingdon, centred 14.2 miles (22.8 km) west of Charing Cross. It was an ancient parish in Middlesex that included the market town of Uxbridge. During the 1920s the civil parish bore a rapid, planned increase in population and housing, and was absorbed by Uxbridge Urban District in 1929. It has formed part of Greater London since 1965.
