The Westerley Cycling Club invites cyclists to its series of time trial events at the car-free Hillingdon Cycle Circuit, offering two distinct categories for riders: Time Trial Bike and Road Bike races. Both events are held on an 10.35-mile circuit that consists of eleven laps around the outdoor track. For those seeking a competitive edge with specialized equipment, the Time Trial Bike event allows the use of time trial or triathlon bikes, full aero helmets, deep-section wheels including disc wheels, and other advanced gear. Entry fees are set at £10 for adults, £5 for Westerley CC members, and £5 for juniors. The Road Bike category is designed for riders who prefer to compete on standard road bikes or mountain bikes without the aerodynamic enhancements allowed in the Time Trial event. This includes restrictions such as no aero clip-on bars, triathlon bars, pointy aero helmets, or wheels deeper than 60mm. The entry fees are identical to those of the Time Trial Bike category. Both events adhere strictly to non-drafting rules and follow current Cycling Time Trials guidance for maintaining a safe and fair environment during these races. Participants must keep track of their own laps throughout the race, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while enjoying the challenge on this scenic circuit. Hillingdon is an area of Uxbridge within the London Borough of Hillingdon, centred 14.2 miles (22.8 km) west of Charing Cross. It was an ancient parish in Middlesex that included the market town of Uxbridge.
