Participants can choose between two routes: a shorter and more manageable 50km loop, ideal for those looking to explore without pushing too far beyond their comfort zone; or the full marathon of adventure with the 100km route. Both courses are carefully crafted to showcase some of North East England’s most breathtaking vistas.
The event's start window opens at 8AM and closes at 9AM, allowing riders to select a time that suits their pace best. Longer distance enthusiasts and slower riders are encouraged to begin early in the morning for optimal daylight conditions throughout their journey. A strict cut-off point of 5:30PM ensures all participants have enough light upon completion.
Fuel up along the way with fully stocked feed stations offering an array of snacks, fresh fruit, sweets, chocolate, and drink refills designed to keep you energized as you pedal through varied terrain.
