Experience the vibrant fall colors as you embark on this 11th edition of Run-Walk-Roll, where every dollar over expenses will support WRHNCC. This race is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and promises an exhilarating trail running experience. Limited to just 115 participants, this event offers a unique opportunity for runners to challenge themselves in the scenic trails of Camp Heidelberg near Kitchener Waterloo. The course consists of a 2.5km loop that winds through well-marked forest paths. After starting and finishing within the designated area, you'll enjoy a fast, flat section leading towards Camp Heidelberg pond before tackling the varied terrain. The trail is designed with both novice and experienced runners in mind, featuring groomed sections alongside technical challenges such as rocks, roots, and rolling hills. Each loop includes about 45m of elevation gain, ensuring an engaging and dynamic run experience. Be prepared for unpredictable weather; October can bring rain or snow, so come dressed accordingly. Choose your distance wisely: opt for two loops (5km), four loops (10km), ten loops (25km), twenty loops (50km), a 6-hour solo challenge, or join the team relay option. The race kicks off at 8am with individual distances and teams beginning their journeys at 10am. The course closes by 4pm. For those participating in the 6hr relay, register your team name and ensure all members are prepared for a day of running together. Team captains must secure registration fees upfront; additional team details will be provided closer to race day. Enjoy setting up tents, tables, and chairs at the start-finish area while friends cheer you on. The loop is 2.5km long, and runners cannot switch during their lap—each participant completes every segment individually before passing an ankle timing chip to the next runner in line. All teams are classified as mixed regardless of gender makeup. Ample parking will be available for all participants, but please note that pets or alcohol are not permitted on Camp Heidelberg Property at any time. Stay hydrated with a selection of beverages and snacks including pop, water, electrolytes, candy, chips, and pickles. PB & J sandwiches and pie might also be available—just remember to bring your own reusable water bottle for this cup-less event. Aid stations will offer sustenance but no pacers are allowed on the course. Upon crossing the finish line, you'll receive a commemorative medal and other goodies designed in 2024. Unfortunately, refunds aren't offered; however, runners can transfer distances up to race day with an additional fee for longer routes. For those looking ahead, mark your calendars for next year's event hosted by Chiptime Results as the official timing partner.
