Set against the backdrop of Bramham Park, an 18th-century Grade I listed country house situated between Leeds and Wetherby, Yorkshire's second trail run of 2027 offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty. Nestled in West Yorkshire’s rolling countryside, this event features three distinct distances: a family-friendly 5km route, a scenic 10km course, and the more challenging half marathon.
Bramham Park spans over 1,200 acres, offering runners an extensive network of woodland trails that wind through lush greenery. The park’s well-maintained paths are dotted with statues and historic buildings, providing ample opportunities for participants to soak in the estate's rich heritage while enjoying breathtaking views.
The half marathon route takes competitors on a longer journey through the heart of Bramham Park, showcasing its diverse landscape from rolling hills to serene woodlands. The 10km course offers a balanced mix of terrain and scenery, ideal for runners looking to explore further into the park’s extensive trail system. Meanwhile, the shorter 5km run is perfect for beginners or those wishing to enjoy a leisurely stroll through this picturesque setting.
All participants will experience live chip timing courtesy of Timing Up North, ensuring accurate results throughout their race day adventure. The event starts with staggered waves at 9:20am (5km), followed by the 10km runners at 9:25am and half marathoners departing last at 9:30am.
Upon crossing the finish line, all participants will receive an exclusive medal along with a snack and drink. Additionally, event merchandise including Wild Deer-themed gear is available for purchase during registration.
For those who wish to bring their canine companions, this race welcomes cani-cross enthusiasts, allowing one controlled dog per runner. On-site parking at Bramham Park costs £4 per vehicle; carpooling is encouraged to minimize environmental impact and reduce traffic congestion around the venue.
