2026 Gunsan Mayors Cup Short-Distance Road Race

On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the city of Gunsan welcomes runners to the annual Mayor's Cup Short-Distance Road Race. This scenic race offers participants two distances: a challenging 10 km general division and a more accessible 5 km option for both adults and students.
The event starts at 10:00 a.m., with the finish line set along the Lower road by the Sunset Rest Area on the Saemangeum Seawall, near Bieung Port. The route winds through picturesque coastal landscapes, offering runners stunning views of the sea and surrounding natural scenery. To participate in either distance, interested individuals must be healthy Jeonbuk residents who are not registered athletes with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee. The event does not provide timing chips or individual recorded results; however, it offers a rewarding experience with certificates and local specialties awarded to the top six finishers in each age group and division.
