2026 Muju Firefly Peace Marathon

The 2026 Muju Firefly Peace Marathon welcomes runners of all ages and abilities to its scenic course on November 22, 2026. Hosted by the Muju County Sports Council and organized jointly with the Muju County Marathon Association and the Peace Marathon Organizing Committee, this event offers a variety of distances including a half marathon, 10km run, and a family-friendly 5km route.
Participants will gather at Muju Deungnamu Stadium for an exciting day filled with camaraderie and athletic challenge. The race begins sequentially from 9:00 AM onwards, ensuring that all competitors have ample time to warm up and prepare themselves for the course ahead.
For those tackling the half marathon distance, a registration fee of KRW 50,000 is required. Meanwhile, runners choosing the shorter but no less thrilling 10km option will pay KRW 45,000 (adults) or KRW 35,000 for youth participants. The family-friendly 5km run welcomes groups of up to six people with a flat fee of KRW 25,000 per person.
The Muju Firefly Peace Marathon is designed to accommodate a total of 3,000 enthusiastic runners eager to experience the beauty and spirit of this event. Each participant will receive race bibs along with commemorative T-shirts as part of their entry package. Shipping for these items is included in the registration fee, ensuring that all participants are well-prepared before they set foot on the starting line.
