Allegheny Cycling Association Tuesday Night Criterium Week 13: Elimination/Fixed

About the Event

Experience the thrill of elimination racing at Allegheny Cycling Association (ACA) events, where strategy and speed are key. The race begins with all participants on equal footing; no one is eliminated during the initial lap. As the field dwindles, riders will be pulled from the course after each subsequent lap until only a select few remain.
For smaller fields of up to 20 racers, it’s down to the final two who must sprint for victory in the last lap. In larger fields with more than 20 participants, the race intensifies as the final five riders compete head-to-head on the concluding circuit.
Joining ACA membership offers you a $5 discount per event and supports local cycling initiatives in Pittsburgh. To participate, ensure your registration is completed by joining ACA as a member before signing up for races.
For young racers aged 18 and under, USAC licenses are complimentary with annual memberships available instead of one-day passes if you're new to racing. This ensures continuous access to competitive events without additional costs.
Getting started in ACA racing couldn't be easier; detailed instructions can be found on their website. New riders will find a wealth of information that guides them through the basics, making your first race both exciting and smooth.
Category 5 (Novice) racers must secure one-day licenses while all other competitors need an active USA Cycling license to participate. Minors must also provide parental or guardian signatures for USAC One Day License Forms, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
