Allegheny Cycling Association Wednesday Night Criterium Week 12: Bullet
About the Event
Experience the thrilling atmosphere of the 2026 ACA Wednesday Criterium Series, held every Wednesday evening at Allegheny County Fairgrounds. This series offers racers an unparalleled opportunity to test their skills and compete against seasoned athletes as well as newcomers. For just $5 more per race, become a member of the Allegheny Cycling Association (ACA) before registering for your first event. This membership not only supports local racing in Pittsburgh but also provides you with exclusive benefits throughout the series. The 2026 ACA Wednesday Criterium Series kicks off with Masters categories on January 18th, followed by men's races from February 1st onwards. Each race features a field of at least 20 eager competitors, ensuring an intense and exciting competition for all participants. For those new to racing or under the age of 18, USAC licenses are free. However, it is highly recommended that beginners opt for an annual membership instead of a one-day license. This will provide you with access to additional resources and support throughout your journey in cycling. More information on memberships can be found at https://usacycling.org/memberships-new. Women have the unique opportunity to race alongside men's fields, but only one category down. For example, women competing as Category 3 riders may join the Men’s Cat 4/5 field. BikeReg automatically notifies ineligible participants; however, if you are a woman registering for a lower category, please disregard any notifications and proceed with your registration. Category 5 racers (novice cyclists) must purchase one-day licenses only. All other competitors should ensure they have an active USA Cycling license to participate smoothly in the series. Minors under 18 years old will need parental/guardian signatures on their USAC One Day License Form, available at https://usacycling.org/forms/one_day_license_form.pdf. Join us for a night of racing that promises to challenge and inspire. Whether you're an experienced racer or just starting out, the ACA Wednesday Criterium Series offers a dynamic setting with stunning scenery and top-notch facilities designed specifically for criterium-style racing.

About Pittsburgh
Learn more about the host city, Pittsburgh.
The pleasure of Pittsburgh remains a well-kept secret. Though not built up by reputation, the city's unique combination of bridges, steep hills, and broad rivers make it one of the most naturally scenic cities in the country. Cheap food and beer abound in this true sports town and the locals are amazingly friendly. A city of about 303,000 (2021) in Allegheny County, at the center of a metro area of about 2.4 million in southwestern Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh is situated at the confluence of three rivers: the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River. The city's unique terrain has resulted in an unusual city design and a hodge-podge of unique neighborhood "pockets" with diverse ethnic and architectural heritage. Pittsburgh has a rich history and, for its size, an unusual array of cultural treasures, largely thanks to the wealth that was generated when Pittsburgh was a hub of industry.
