Allegheny Cycling Association Tuesday Night Criterium Week 18: Oval

About the Event

Experience the dynamic atmosphere of Pittsburgh's premier Tuesday criterium series, hosted by the Allegheny Cycling Association (ACA). This unique racing opportunity is designed to cater to both seasoned cyclists and newcomers alike.
The 2026 ACA Tuesday Criterium Series kicks off with a race dedicated exclusively to Women Cat 1/2/3/4/5 on January 17th. Following this, the series introduces an exciting new category for NonBinary racers in the second event on February 7th, encouraging participation from all genders.
Each subsequent race features a mix of Men's Cat 1/2/3 competitors, providing diverse challenges and thrilling competition throughout the season. A notable change is that the second race will now cost just $15, making it more accessible for racers who want to participate without committing to multiple events.
Fields of over 20 participants can expect generous payouts extending up to five deep, ensuring competitive excitement from start to finish. For beginners and Category 5 (Novice) racers, one-day licenses are available; however, all other competitors must possess an active USA Cycling license.
To support local racing initiatives in Pittsburgh, ACA members receive a $5 discount per race when they register before the event. Additionally, minors under 18 can take advantage of free USAC licensing for junior categories but should consider obtaining annual memberships to gain broader benefits and training opportunities.
Don't miss out on this exhilarating opportunity to showcase your skills or test yourself against seasoned competitors in a vibrant racing environment. Register today and be part of the growing ACA community, fostering growth and camaraderie among cycling enthusiasts from all walks of life.

About Pittsburgh

Learn more about the host city, Pittsburgh.

Scenic view of

The pleasure of Pittsburgh remains a well-kept secret. Though not built up by reputation, the city's unique combination of bridges, steep hills, and broad rivers make it one of the most naturally scenic cities in the country. Cheap food and beer abound in this true sports town and the locals are amazingly friendly. A city of about 303,000 (2021) in Allegheny County, at the center of a metro area of about 2.4 million in southwestern Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh is situated at the confluence of three rivers: the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River. The city's unique terrain has resulted in an unusual city design and a hodge-podge of unique neighborhood "pockets" with diverse ethnic and architectural heritage. Pittsburgh has a rich history and, for its size, an unusual array of cultural treasures, largely thanks to the wealth that was generated when Pittsburgh was a hub of industry.
