Experience the thrill of racing in Pittsburgh at the 2026 ACA Wednesday Criterium Series, where every Wednesday night brings a fresh challenge. The series kicks off with Masters categories (Cat 1/2/3/4) on the first race day, followed by Men's Cat 3 and 4 racers on the second outing. For those eager to test their skills further, the third event welcomes Men's Cat 4 and 5 cyclists.
A new feature this year is a reduced registration fee of $15 for both the second and third races, making it easier than ever to join in the fun. With fields typically seeing over twenty racers, you can expect competitive racing right from the start. The increased payouts ensure that top performers are well rewarded, with prizes going down to fifth place.
Women cyclists have a unique opportunity to race alongside men, competing one category lower (e.g., Cat 3 women in Men's Cat 4/5). BikeReg will notify you if your registration is ineligible due to this rule; however, if you wish to participate regardless of the notification, simply bypass it and register.
For beginners or those just starting out, USAC licenses are free for juniors. To fully immerse yourself in the racing community, consider obtaining an annual membership instead of a one-day license. This not only benefits your personal growth but also supports local racing initiatives.
Local racers can enjoy additional perks by joining ACA as members before registering, securing themselves a $5 discount per race and contributing to the vibrant Pittsburgh cycling scene. Remember that Category 5 (Novice) racers must have an active USA Cycling license, while minors need parental or guardian signatures on their USAC One Day License Form.
