Celebrate the end of summer with TeamKechnec and Park Kechnec at their annual "Run Under the Stars" event on August 29, 2026. This family-friendly race offers something for all ages and skill levels. For younger participants, a mini run is scheduled in the afternoon starting at 19:00 from the Amfiteáter Kechnec park grounds. The distances vary depending on age groups, ranging from 50 meters to 700 meters, ensuring that even the youngest runners can enjoy the fun and excitement of racing. The main event kicks off in the evening with a 2.5 km or 5 km race for adults beginning at 20:00 also from Amfiteáter Kechnec park grounds. The route circles around Park Kechnec, offering scenic views under the moonlight as runners navigate through well-lit paths and pavements. Registration fees are €3 for children's races (valid until August 24) and include refreshments, a small surprise gift, and a medal upon completion of their race. For adult participants, early bird registration before August 25 costs €20 while on-site registrations cost €25 but do not guarantee the starter kit or t-shirt. The event includes post-race festivities such as music, dancing, and a raffle draw for prizes. Participants can enjoy refreshments at Amfiteáter Kechnec park grounds from 16:00 to 19:30 on race day. There are also changing facilities available near the starting area. Parking is provided within the sports complex in Kechnec, and participants have easy access to amenities like drinking water stations throughout the course. A special category for those who love a challenge invites runners to dress up creatively as "Stars" of the event. The winner will be judged on their most daring costume during either the 2.5 km or 5 km race. All races follow road racing rules, and participants are responsible for their own safety throughout the run. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in both distance categories around 22:00 after all runners have crossed the finish line.
