CBTE Morland Half Marathon

Nestled in the picturesque Eden Valley, the Morland Half Marathon is an off-road trail race designed for both runners and walkers. Starting and finishing in the charming village of Morland near Penrith, this partially self-navigated course offers a blend of natural beauty and challenging terrain.
The route weaves through rivers, becks, and serene woodlands while passing by quaint villages along the way. With 1330 feet of elevation gain over mixed terrains, runners will enjoy both technical trail sections and smoother paths that wind through pastures and forests. This race serves as a perfect introduction to longer distance events like the Morland Marathon.
Participants can look forward to receiving a finishers medal, t-shirt, water, and snacks at two strategically placed checkpoints along the course. The event is also known for its enthusiastic race directors who are always ready with smiles and encouragement.
Trophies will be awarded to the first male, female, and non-binary runners as well as top males and females in the 50+, 60+ and 70+ age categories.
Registration opens at 8:15 am for those arriving early to familiarize themselves with the course. The race itself starts promptly at 10 am, allowing ample time to warm up before tackling the challenging terrain. With a cut-off time of 3 pm, runners are encouraged to pace themselves appropriately throughout this scenic journey.
For an added layer of peace of mind, participants have the option to purchase XCover insurance, which provides a refund in case unforeseen circumstances prevent them from attending on race day.
