CORNFEST 5K

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, Barker Central School's musical department will benefit as participants gather for the fifth annual Cornfest 5K Run/Walk. This year’s race features a USATF-certified course that winds through the picturesque streets of Barker, New York, starting and finishing at Quaker Road near Main Street.
Participants who register by July 10th can secure their preferred size in an official Cornfest t-shirt; late registrants will receive shirts on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration remains open until race day for those unable to sign up earlier. Packet pickup is available at the Barker Public Library from 7:30am to 9am.
The event offers ample free parking near the start/finish line and professional timing services provided by Race Management Solutions using Jaguar Electronic RFID technology, ensuring accurate results updated in real time throughout the race. Participants can access their finish times via the ITSYourRace mobile app or through a kiosk at the venue. Additionally, custom finisher certificates are available for download from the event's results page.
Post-race festivities include light snacks and refreshments along with an awards ceremony under the gazebo where trophies will be presented to top male and female runners in various age categories. Age group winners also receive half a dozen ears of corn as their prize, adding a unique touch to this community-focused race.
