Drumtochty - Tartan Enduro

The third installment of the Tartan Enduro Series, set to take place at Drumtochty in Scotland on July 31st, 2026, promises an exhilarating day for mountain biking enthusiasts. This one-day event is designed with a mix of challenging downhill stages and neutral transfer climbs, catering to riders of all skill levels from the highly competitive to those simply seeking adventure.
The race offers a variety of categories including full suspension bikes (suss), hardtails, electric bikes (ebikes), and special lite routes that are easier both technically and in terms of endurance. For younger participants aged 9-12 years old, accompanied by an adult chaperone, there's also the option to join in on the fun. Categories span male and female riders across various age groups, ensuring inclusivity for all.
Registration opens on July 27th at 6:00 PM BST, with limited spots available due to a cap of 350 participants per event. Early sign-up is recommended as spaces tend to fill up quickly. Once registered, entrants will select their preferred start time and are advised to arrive an hour before for smooth registration processes.
The race day atmosphere is friendly and supportive, fostering camaraderie among competitors while encouraging fair competition. Each category features top three finishers receiving prizes from Scottish sponsors who cater to all aspects of the biking community, including sales, services, clothing, and coaching support.
Participants will contribute towards trail development through a donation made per entrant for every event hosted by DoonThaBrae Events, with proceeds going specifically to the Aberdeenshire Trail Association at Drumtochty.
Photography and videography are part of the day's activities as all participants consent to being captured on camera during their race experience.
In terms of logistics, if you need to cancel your entry before registration closes, a full refund minus an administrative fee will be provided upon request via email. After this period, refunds may only be granted in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of event organizers.
Riders are reminded that while cycling can present risks, it is essential to ride within one's limits and respect both the environment and fellow riders during the course of the race day. Safety remains a top priority for all involved.
