East Fortune - Sidecar Passenger Taxi Rides

Sidecar Passenger Ride – Join us on August 16th, 2026 at East Fortune Airfield for an exhilarating afternoon of motorsport excitement. The event kicks off with your requested place as a passenger aboard one of our sidecars for three thrilling laps starting promptly around noon.
Upon arrival, please be prepared to pay £40 in cash that will contribute directly towards the club's funding and support the Ben Fund. East Fortune Airfield is transformed into an exclusive paddock area where safety and precision are paramount. Attendees must enter the circuit by 8:45 AM at the latest for a smooth transition.
Registration begins promptly from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, so be sure not to miss your designated window as late arrivals will forfeit their place in this unique experience. A safety briefing will follow shortly after registration and is mandatory for all participants.
To ensure an enjoyable yet secure ride, passengers must adhere strictly to the dress code:
- Full leather racing suits are required; two-piece sets that zip together completely can also be accepted.
- An ACU-approved (gold sticker) helmet or equivalent must be worn at all times with proper fastening. Open-faced and flip helmets are not permitted for this event.
Additionally, motorcycle gloves and boots should be in excellent condition to provide the necessary protection throughout your ride. Our team will conduct thorough safety checks on all equipment prior to granting track access; any gear that fails inspection may prevent you from participating.
By adhering to these guidelines, participants can look forward to a day filled with adrenaline-pumping laps around East Fortune's historic airfield circuit. This event is open exclusively to those aged 18 and above who acknowledge the inherent risks involved in motorsport activities.
Remember: Your participation is entirely at your own risk as you voluntarily engage in this high-risk activity. Please register upon arrival by signing into our designated registration point. The Clerk of the Course reserves the right to alter or cancel any part of the program if necessary, prioritizing the race schedule over passenger rides should unforeseen circumstances arise.
