East Hanningfield Trail Marathon

The East Hanningfield Trail Marathon invites runners to explore the scenic trails surrounding Danbury Village, offering an immersive and self-guided adventure through diverse terrain. Participants embark on a circular route that is approximately 95% off-road, navigating varied landscapes without traditional race markers or marshals; instead, written instructions guide them along the way.
The event begins at East Hanningfield Village Hall, where runners will leave their mobile phone numbers with registration for safety purposes and collect essential gear. Throughout the course, three well-stocked checkpoints are strategically placed every 6.5 miles to provide hydration and sustenance. Upon completing the challenging journey back at the village hall, participants receive a commemorative medal and hot food as a reward.
The race is sanctioned by The Trail Running Association under permit (permit number TBC), ensuring that all regulations and safety standards are met.
