Falmouth Mob Match

The Falmouth Running Club is proud to present the 38th annual Mob Match, set to take place on Sunday, November 29, 2026. This cherished Cornish tradition marks the end of the racing year with a festive atmosphere and competitive spirit.
Participants can sign up starting August 1st at 6:00 PM for this team-based event that covers a scenic 5-mile route around Falmouth's picturesque coastline. The race begins near Pendennis Headland, offering stunning views as runners start their journey along the iconic seafront. The course winds through two of Cornwall’s most beloved beaches—Gyllyngvase and Swanpool—and concludes with a swift sprint to finish outside the historic Falmouth Hotel.
Each runner contributes points toward their team's overall ranking in one of three divisions, based on affiliation or entry type. While clubs affiliated with the Cornwall Road Running and Racing Group (CRRRG) compete according to established rankings from 2025, newcomers such as gyms, sports teams, and friend groups are welcome into Division 3.
In addition to battling for top honors in their respective divisions, participants can look forward to individual accolades. Prizes will be awarded to the winning male and female teams, with special mixed team awards available across all categories. All finishers will receive a commemorative Mob Match long-sleeve winter running shirt from Castle Sports.
To ensure everyone gets their gear on race day, please select your preferred size early when registering; entries made after November 8th may not secure a top in time for the event. There are also additional spot prizes to be won through random draws of race numbers.
The post-race celebration at Race HQ will feature trophy presentations for division winners and special recognition from CRRRG for individuals who completed eight or more GP races throughout the Cornwall Glass-sponsored series this year.
