Family Day Flight Line 5K & Relay Run

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, military personnel, Department of Defense employees, and their families are invited to participate in the second annual Family Day Flight Line 5K & Relay Run at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. This unique event takes place on the grounds of a historic base located in Niagara Falls, New York.
The race starts promptly at noon from Building 850's hangar area next to the runway, offering participants an unforgettable experience as they run alongside aircraft taxiways and past static display planes. The course is brand new this year and has been meticulously certified for accuracy and safety. Water stations are conveniently placed along the route, with bottled water and light snacks available at the finish line.
Registration remains open until race day through online platforms, ensuring that everyone can sign up even if they're unable to do so earlier. Packet pickup will be held from 11:00 am to 11:45 am on-site in Building 850's hangar for those who need it. Early arrival is recommended as security checkpoints may cause delays.
Participants are guaranteed race shirts if registered by July 17th at 9am, with options including a dri-fit shirt for the individual 5K and cotton t-shirts for relay team members. The entry fees cover all these amenities: $34 per person for the solo 5K (dri-fit shirt included upon early registration) and $32 per person for each member of the two-person relay teams, with a matching team name required.
After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy light refreshments, music, and an awards ceremony celebrating top male and female runners in both individual and relay categories. Free parking is available on base to accommodate all attendees.
