Town of Niagara 5K & Kids Fun Run

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, runners of all ages are invited to participate in the Town of Niagara's annual 5K race and family-friendly events. The festivities kick off with the 5K run at 6:00 PM at Veterans Memorial Park, a scenic location that offers both paved paths and woodland trails for an engaging course experience.
The event features a USATF certified course (NY18006JJ), ensuring accuracy in race times and distances. Participants can enjoy a mix of asphalt roads and packed gravel trails as they navigate through the park's diverse terrain, with one water station available at the midpoint to keep runners hydrated throughout their journey.
For those looking for a less competitive option, there is also a 1-mile family fun walk that starts simultaneously with the 5K race. This leisurely stroll offers an opportunity to explore Veterans Memorial Park’s scenic beauty while still receiving an event t-shirt if registered by July 31st at 9 AM.
Children aged ten and under can participate in a free Kids Fun Run, which begins at 5:30 PM. All young participants receive a finisher medal upon crossing the line, making it a fun-filled day for families of all ages.
Registration remains open until race day, with packet pickup available from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Calvin K. Richards Senior/Youth Activity Center near the finish area. Early registrants who sign up by July 31st will receive a keepsake Town of Niagara 5K t-shirt in their requested size; additional shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Light refreshments and snacks await runners after they cross the line at Calvin K. Richards Senior/Youth Activity Center, providing an ideal spot for family reunions and celebrations. The event also includes professional timing services by Race Management Solutions using Jaguar Electronic RFID technology to ensure accurate race results that are updated in real time via ITSYourRace Mobile App or RMS Race Results kiosk.
Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers overall, along with custom age group awards for runners 14 years old and up. Additional recognition is given through various age categories: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
