Farsø Løbet 2026

Join the Farsø Løbet on Thursday, August 13, 2026, for an evening of fun and fitness around the picturesque town of Farsø. This family-friendly race offers two distances: a challenging 6.3 km run and a more leisurely 3.0 km walk/run option.
The main event kicks off at 6:30 PM with the longer distance, followed by the shorter Hyggeløbet starting promptly at 6:40 PM. Both races wind through Farsø's charming streets before heading along its beautiful lakeside promenade for a scenic and enjoyable experience suitable for all ages.
Participants will gather on Store Torv to collect their race numbers between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, complete with chip timing technology that ensures accurate results. The event concludes at the AL Sydbank location in Farsø's city center (Nørregade 1), where runners can enjoy a refreshing half-liter of spring water, fruit, chocolate cookies, and gummy candies upon crossing the finish line.
While there are no prizes for the shorter Hyggeløbet, the longer race offers exciting awards. The top male and female finishers will receive gift cards, while medals go to the three fastest runners in each age category (5-10 years, 11-13 years, 14-17 years, 18-39 years, and 40+). A festive prize-giving ceremony takes place at around 8:00 PM near the lakeside pavilion.
Parking is available close to Farsø Rådhuscenter, which also houses restrooms. Changing facilities are provided in Dr.Ingrid Hallerne for those who need them.
Registration fees vary depending on age and distance:
- For the 6.3 km race: Adults (born 2011 or earlier) pay DKK 80; children aged 5 to 14 (born between 2012 and 2021) pay DKK 65, while those under five years old are free.
- For the shorter Hyggeløbet: Adults (born in 2011 or earlier) pay DKK 65; children aged 5 to 14 (born between 2012 and 2021) pay DKK 50, with no cost for those under five.
On the day of the race, late registrations incur an additional fee. If you withdraw from the event, your entry fees will not be refunded but can be transferred to another participant if desired.
