Felsted Frolic

The Felsted Frivol is set to bring runners together for an engaging trail race experience across Essex's picturesque landscapes on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31st, 2026. Participants can choose between a challenging 10-mile course or the more accessible yet equally scenic 10-kilometer route.
The event will take place at Chequers in Felsted and offers runners of all levels an opportunity to explore self-navigated trails using detailed written instructions provided on race day. With no markings, marshals, or GPS guidance available, this is a test for those who enjoy the challenge of finding their way through varied terrain.
Starting between 10:00 am and 11:00 am, runners will experience a unique mass start format where they are timed individually from their personal starting point to the finish line. The race environment fosters an atmosphere of self-reliance and adventure as participants navigate through nature's beauty at their own pace.
Entry fees for the event range between £9 for affiliated members and £11 for unaffiliated runners, with a 50p booking fee included in both prices. Each participant will receive a voucher redeemable for either a bacon sandwich or vegetarian sausage roll post-race to refuel after completing their chosen distance.

For those wishing to run alongside friends or family members, it’s possible to register multiple entries under a single name provided all necessary details for each runner—such as emergency contacts and mobile numbers—are submitted by August 24th. No exceptions will be made without this information being fully completed before the deadline; otherwise, participants may not compete.
To ensure fairness and manage logistics efficiently, there are no refunds available unless the race is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances like severe weather conditions or health directives that prevent its continuation. Additionally, transfers of entries cannot occur after August 24th.
