The Black Bull 10k Charity Trail Run celebrates its milestone year with an array of special features designed to commemorate two decades of organizing events. This unique race offers runners the opportunity to explore scenic trails while supporting a worthy cause, the British Heart Foundation. ### Event Details: - Distance Options: Choose between a competitive 10km trail run and a leisurely 10km social hike. - Charity Partner: A £2 donation from your entry fee will go directly to the British Heart Foundation. Additional donations are encouraged once more details are announced closer to race day. ### Location & Parking: The event takes place in Chelmsford, with registration and start/finish lines located at The Black Bull pub’s beer garden. While there is parking available opposite the venue and within the pub car park, we strongly encourage participants to walk, cycle, or use public transportation due to limited space. ### Registration & Timing: Registration begins promptly at 18:00 in the pub's inviting beer garden where you can collect your race numbers, T-shirts, and other event essentials. The start format for runners will vary from previous years, with participants setting off between 18:15 and 18:30 based on their preference. ### Course Experience: The route is narrated to provide a detailed guide along the way, ensuring that both hikers and trail runners can navigate easily using Strava or other GPS tracking apps. The shorter run/walk option offers an enjoyable social experience without competitive pressure. ### Prizes & Perks: To mark this special anniversary year, all participants will receive commemorative 20th-anniversary T-shirts upon sign-up (register early to secure your preferred size). Additionally, every finisher will be awarded a medal and complimentary beverage. Participants can leave their belongings with us in the beer garden during the event. ### Route Records: The Black Bull course has seen impressive performances over the years, including: 15 Mile: - Mary Lloyd: 2 hours 6 minutes 15 seconds - Jamie Setterfield: 2 hours 3 minutes 20 seconds (both set in 2024) 15km: - Terri Howe / Caz Wallis: 2 hours 9 minutes 43 seconds - Alex Ashley: 1 hour 43 minutes 6 seconds ### Additional Information: Route details will be available for download a week before the event from www.multisport-management.co.uk.
