Forfar 10K

Forfar Road Runners invites you to take part in the Forfar 10k, set for Sunday, August 16th, at 11:00 AM. This accurately measured and fast-paced race offers runners a scenic journey through the picturesque streets of Forfar.
The event is limited to just 400 participants, who will be admitted on a first-come-first-served basis until all spots are filled by July 31st at 6:00 PM (or earlier if capacity is reached). No entries will be accepted on race day. Competitors must be at least 16 years old as of the event date.
Registration takes place from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Forfar Farmington Clubhouse in DD8 3LD, where runners can collect their race numbers personally and undergo random ID checks. Participants should arrive no later than 10:45 AM for a prompt start.
The course itself is flat and fast, making it ideal for achieving personal bests or simply enjoying the run. The route features bone-conducting headphones only to ensure safety on public roads while maintaining an immersive experience. Parking is available near East Greens carpark, Myre carpark, and Forfar Reid Hall, with organizers encouraging runners and spectators to use these locations to minimize congestion around the start line.
The entry fee for this race is £15 for Association of Running Clubs (ARC) members or £17 for non-members. All finishers will receive a bespoke medal as recognition of their achievement. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female runners, along with first-place winners in V40, V50, V60, and V70 age categories, plus junior divisions.
For those who cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances but wish to defer entry, contact information is provided on Entry Central for a one-year deferral option. However, this must be communicated by July 31st at 6:00 PM.
The race adheres strictly to ARC rules and regulations, ensuring fair play and safety throughout the event. With a cut-off time of 1 hour and 45 minutes, participants have ample opportunity to enjoy the scenic route while striving for their personal bests.
