Husarö Swimrun 2026

Welcome to Husarö Swimrun, an invigorating journey through the picturesque archipelago of Stockholm. This unique race is designed for both experienced and novice swimrunners alike, offering a blend of challenging terrain and breathtaking scenery.
Set on the serene island of Husarö, where inland islands meet the open sea, this event promises to immerse you in the beauty of Sweden’s coastal waters and lush forests. The course winds through narrow coves, rocky cliffs battered by wind and waves, and verdant blueberry woods, providing a diverse landscape that keeps participants engaged throughout.
The race covers approximately 13 kilometers, divided into 10 running segments and 9 swimming legs totaling about 2800 meters. Each transition between land and sea offers stunning views of the glittering archipelago waters stretching out to the horizon. The course is meticulously designed with varying terrains that challenge runners’ skills while maintaining a fun atmosphere.
Participants can expect a mix of smooth coastal paths, winding forest trails through blueberry groves, and technical runs along steep cliffs right by the water’s edge. Swimmers will navigate crystal-clear waters around shipwrecks and hidden coves, adding an element of adventure to each swim leg.
Husarö Swimrun is more than just a race; it's a celebration of community spirit and shared experiences. Whether you're participating solo or as part of a team, the event fosters camaraderie among athletes from all backgrounds. The season-ending festivities are not to be missed, featuring live music, barbecues, and an evening filled with laughter and joy.
In addition to the race itself, Husarö offers accommodation options for those wishing to extend their stay. You can choose between rustic scout cabins or pitching a tent near the start/finish area. Both options provide easy access to beachside sauna sessions, adding another layer of relaxation after your efforts on the course.
Registration includes everything you need: official race gear, energy stations with high-quality sports drinks along the route, and post-race refreshments. There’s also an opportunity to win prizes at the finish line for top performances.
The event takes place on September 12th, 2026, starting from noon. Travel arrangements are well-organized, ensuring a smooth journey by boat between Stockholm and Husarö.
