La corrida de Pontivy

Set for September 5, 2026, the inaugural ACRL Pontivy Corrida promises to be an exciting addition to Brittany's racing calendar. Organized by the local section of the ACRLP with support from the City of Pontivy, this event features two measured races: a 5 km and a 10 km course.
The shorter race kicks off at 6:45 PM for runners aged minimes (born in or after 2012) and older. A few hours later, participants can tackle the more challenging 10 km route beginning at 7:45 PM. Both races start and finish on Place Aristide Briand, also known as La Plaine.
The courses wind through Pontivy's historic Napoleonien quarter, offering a flat terrain with minimal elevation changes but featuring several thrilling accelerations along the way. Runners will enjoy looping around this picturesque area while experiencing its unique charm and atmosphere.
Competitors can look forward to having their efforts recognized with awards given to the top three men and women in each race category. A refreshment station will be available on-site, ensuring participants have something to quench their thirst after crossing the finish line.
