Montgomery Show Race

On Friday, August 14th, 2026, Maldwyn Harriers invites runners of all ages to the Trefor Pugh Memorial Race and Fun Run at Montgomery Show Field. This event marks the conclusion of their Summer Road Race Series.
The fun run kicks off at 6:15 PM with a one-mile course designed for young participants under nine years old, who must be accompanied by an adult. For those aged fifteen or older on race day, the main race begins promptly at 7:15 PM. The main event is not wheelchair accessible due to its challenging terrain.
The starting point and finish line are located near Montgomery's Town Hall, offering a scenic backdrop for this community-oriented event. Participants can enjoy first aid services and restroom facilities throughout the course.
Entry fees vary based on runner classification:
- Club registered athletes: £10
- Unattached runners: £12
- Under 19 athletes: £5
- Fun Run participants: £2
Medals are awarded to all finishers in various categories, while prizes await every fun run competitor. Pre-registration is encouraged through the official online site; however, entries will be accepted on-site if space allows.
