About the Event

Trail runners have two exciting options to choose from at this annual race: a scenic 5-mile route or the more challenging 13-mile journey that includes Pen Y Fan summit.
Participants on both routes will enjoy well-marked trails and chip timing, ensuring an accurate record of their performance. The shorter course offers stunning Welsh countryside views while providing water and sweets at its finish line to help runners refuel after crossing the finish line. For those tackling the longer distance, hydration stations along the route offer essential refreshments.
All competitors are required to carry specific kit to ensure safety during the race:
- 5-mile Route: Mobile phone, 500ml of water or other hydrating fluid, a foil blanket or bivi bag for emergencies, snacks, basic first aid supplies, and a whistle. A windproof jacket is also recommended.

- 13-mile Route: This demands more extensive preparation with at least two liters of hydration, a waterproof jacket and trousers to handle the variable weather conditions, as well as additional items like gloves and hats or buffs for head protection.
Race proceeds include contributions towards conservation efforts through the National Trust. Additionally, all runners receive a souvenir buff and coaster upon registration, adding an extra touch of memorabilia to their experience.
