Lakes Sky Ultra, hailed as one of the most extreme mountain running events in England since its inception in 2018 by Skyrunning UK under the "Sky Extra" category, challenges runners with an awe-inspiring journey through some of the Lake District's most rugged and breathtaking terrain. Spanning a grueling distance of 57 kilometers, this race is not for the faint-hearted, featuring over 3700 meters of ascent that will push even seasoned athletes to their limits.
The route takes participants along three iconic ridge-lines: Long Stile Edge, known for its bone-jarring paths and wild beauty; Swirral Edge, a rocky scramble with an alpine feel; and the legendary Striding Edge.
