RAF MTB Championships 2026

The 2026 RAF DH, XC & Enduro Championships take place from October 6th to 9th at Ae Forest Trails. This unique multi-discipline mountain biking competition offers participants the chance to experience three distinct races over four days: downhill (DH), cross-country (XC), and enduro.
On October 6th, riders have the opportunity for DH practice sessions to familiarize themselves with the challenging terrain of Ae Forest before the main event begins. The following day, the Downhill Championships will be held, offering thrilling descents through rugged trails. Uplift services are included in the entry fee and will run both days.
October 8th marks a dual-day challenge as XC enthusiasts tackle the Cross-Country Championship, while those interested in enduro can take part in practice sessions to hone their skills for the upcoming competition. The Enduro Championships conclude on October 9th with a three-stage mash-up event that tests endurance and technical prowess across varying terrains.
Entry fees are £80 for downhill racing, £10 each for cross-country and enduro events. Participants must secure support from local PEd Units or sS Cycling Associations to help cover these costs if needed. Accommodation is not provided; participants should arrange their own lodging nearby, with Oakbank Farm Campsite being the closest option at a 23-minute drive away.
Campers can park overnight in designated areas within Ae Forest Trails for a fee and have access to showers on-site. Cars are strictly prohibited from parking overnight at these locations without exception.
To compete, participants must hold RAFCA membership or an equivalent status with sS Cycling Associations. The Warning Order is available via the RAFCA Sharepoint or upon request. An Admin Order will be distributed approximately one week before the event for further details and guidelines.
This championship welcomes current serving members of His Majesty's Armed Forces as well as invited guests, including veterans who must contact the admin team prior to registration regarding eligibility requirements.
