The race commences promptly at 7:00 PM from Ashes Hollow road junction, earlier than most summer races, offering a unique opportunity to experience the evening landscape.
Registration takes place in the outdoor "Hayloft" area behind The Ragleth Inn on Ludlow Road, SY6 6RE, where participants can pick up their race numbers and enjoy post-race refreshments. It is essential for runners to use the pub toilets rather than those at the campsite field. Parking is available nearby in a designated car park off Elms Paddock-SY6 6 RD.
The route itself is steeped in natural beauty, featuring a challenging climb of over 390 meters along its 4.4-kilometer stretch through Ashes Hollow and Callow Hill. Runners will encounter three critical checkpoints: near the stream crossing in Callow Hollow, halfway up the ascent out of the hollow, and finally at the summit of Callow Hill.
