Rowan Glen Run the Risk 10k

Set for Sunday, September 27th, 2026, the Rowan Glen Run the Risk 10K returns to Newton Stewart Golf Club with an earlier start time of 10:00 AM. Organized by Galloway Harriers, this event offers runners a challenging course that weaves through undulating terrain primarily on tarmac roads.
Entry fees are £10 for online bookings and include chip timing, medical support, well-organized route marshalling, water at the finish line, and medals for all participants. Trophies will be awarded to the top male and female overall winners as well as first local (DG8 postcode) male and female runners.
Participants should note that there is limited parking available near the race venue; however, additional spots are provided across the road at the Health Centre DG8 6NR due to a concurrent golf tournament.
Registration begins promptly at 9:00 AM in the clubhouse of Newton Stewart Golf Club where you can collect your race number and timing chip. Bag storage is also offered on-site but at runners' own risk. Refreshments will be available for purchase during registration hours, which close sharply at 9:45 AM.
A pre-race briefing takes place at 9:55 AM that all competitors are required to attend before the race starts promptly at 10:00 AM from the golf club grounds.
Please ensure you arrive on time and be aware that no refunds will be given once your entry is confirmed, so only enter if confident about running on the day. Entries close by midnight on Thursday, September 24th, or earlier if capacity is reached.
Sponsorship for this event comes from Rowan Glen. Runners are kindly requested to refrain from using headphones during the race and must be at least 16 years old to participate.
