Fundraising is at the heart of Run Africa Alive, aligning runners' efforts directly with conservation initiatives supported by the Zoological Society of East Anglia. While fundraising isn’t mandatory, every contribution helps protect wildlife and improve animal welfare across various regions around the globe. The top fundraiser will receive a special prize to celebrate their commitment.

Race day activities begin at 8:30 AM, with the zoo opening its doors to allow early arrivals. Registration for participants starts promptly at this time as well. A warm-up session begins at 9:30 AM before the race kicks off at 9:45 AM sharp.
After crossing the finish line, runners can enjoy hot food and drinks while taking in the rest of what Africa Alive has to offer until it opens fully to the public by 11:00 AM.
